MAC Cosmetics Free Makeup Service Issues: Dirty Brushes and Poor Customer Service
MAC Cosmetics offers free 15-minute makeup applications, and I booked both a "15-Minute Trend Makeup" and "15-Minute Skin Makeup" session through their website at the Istanbul Capacity Mall location. The booking system allowed me to schedule multiple appointments, but when I arrived at the store, I was told I could only use one session. This persistent system error needs immediate resolution, especially for a brand as reputable as MAC.
Beyond the scheduling issue, the customer service was appalling. The staff lacked professionalism, spoke rudely, and behaved condescendingly. During my makeup session, they used dirty brushes, which is completely unhygienic. The results were underwhelming—my contour was invisible, blush was barely applied, and they even used the same dirty brush for eyeshadow. My friend could have done a better job.
I originally planned to share my experience as a positive vlog but will now share it as a cautionary tale. As customers, we don’t deserve to be treated poorly or made to feel like beggars for trying a free service. MAC needs to address their staff's attitude and hygiene practices immediately. This experience has shattered my trust in the brand's professionalism.
