If Lufthansa caused you to miss a connecting flight on a single booking, they are responsible for rebooking you to your final destination at no extra cost.
When the delay requires an overnight stay, the airline must also provide or reimburse hotel accommodation, meals, and transport, regardless of the delay’s cause.
Under EU Regulation 261/2004 (for EU departures or EU carriers like Lufthansa), this “right to care” applies even if compensation is not owed.
If Lufthansa refused hotel support, keep receipts and submit a reimbursement claim citing EU261 duty of care.
