Capitec Account Charged R146.25 for Service User Did Not Authorize
On February 6, 2026, an amount of R146.25 was deducted from my Capitec bank account for a so-called “location tool” service, even though I did not knowingly activate, subscribe to, or use any such service. I only became aware of this charge after reviewing my bank statement, and no service was provided to me in return.
It appears that this location tool service was activated without my clear consent or awareness, and I consider this deduction to be unauthorized. I request a full refund of the R146.25 that was deducted and the immediate cancellation of this location tool service so that no further charges are made to my account.
