In 2017, I purchased an LG refrigerator model GN-B559PLCZ from an authorized dealer. In April 2023, I experienced cooling issues for the first time. I contacted the official service center to address the problem. The service center charged me 600 ₺ for maintenance, stating that the motor was faulty. They mentioned that the motor replacement, covered by the 10-year warranty, would be free, but an additional 1600 ₺ was required for system and pipe cleaning. Thinking the problem was resolved, I continued using the refrigerator. However, in July 2023, the same cooling issue occurred again. I contacted the same service, and despite my reluctance to pay again, they insisted on 600 ₺ for maintenance and took the refrigerator for repair. They once again stated a motor issue and the need for system cleaning. After a phone dispute, they agreed to repair it for free. The refrigerator was returned after a month. On September 26, I faced another cooling problem. I contacted the same service expressing dissatisfaction, stating my intention to exercise consumer rights. MTV staff claimed they would prepare a report for LG's head office. After a week, LG responded that the invoice amount would be refunded, leaving me with no other options. Currently, despite the existing 10-year motor warranty and my right to exchange under Consumer Rights, I want to exercise my right to exchange with an additional payment. If not possible, the invoice amount is 2599 ₺. Considering the current situation, I seek a fair refund. Otherwise, I inform you that I will pursue legal action to obtain compensation for the material and moral losses I experienced over the summer.
