On May 3, 2024, my spouse bought me a gift from the Lego store. The next day, May 4, 2024, I wanted to return the unopened item and re-purchase it to take advantage of a promotion. However, the store staff told me this wasn’t possible. When I asked if another customer could benefit from the promotion if they purchased my returned item, they confirmed it. I then suggested returning the item and buying it again in someone else’s name, but they refused and delayed my return.
When I contacted Lego customer service, I learned that they don’t have official stores in Turkey, and that the local stores are licensed retailers like Toyz Shop and Adore Toy. Pera Oyuncak operates the stores under their name, and they have no direct link to Lego. The store manager, Ş***, took my contact information, stating the return would be processed the next day due to the accounting department being off on Sunday. However, it’s been five days, and my return still hasn’t been processed.
Today, I was told they didn’t contact me because my email didn’t match the one provided by my spouse, even though they had my phone number. I’m deeply frustrated, and this experience has made me lose interest in my hobby. I expect Lego to address this promptly.
