Brand-New Kumho Summer Tire Blew Out on Straight Road
Yesterday around 5:30 p.m., while driving from Istanbul to Manisa, my brand-new 2024 Kumho summer tire suddenly burst just before reaching Gemlik district (about 5 km before, near a wedding hall on the right side of the road).
The blowout happened without hitting anything — the road was straight and clear. I was traveling with my family, and we narrowly escaped a serious accident. I initially thought the road surface might be rough, so I slowed down, but a truck driver signaled for me to stop. When I did, I found my tire completely shredded on a straight, normal stretch of road.
I’m writing this here out of sheer shock and disappointment. I truly believed in the quality of Kumho tires, but this experience has shaken my trust. It could have cost my family’s lives.
