Whenever I make a purchase—no matter what kind of product it is—I always choose brands produced by the most honorable and proud nations. My car is a Toyota, and for my tires, I trusted Kumho, a brand from South Korea, known for its engineering and discipline.
On June 27, 2025, I purchased Kumho Ecsta HS52 205/55/16 tires from Gürlas Lastik, located in Ankara İskitler, and had them installed on my vehicle. The next day, June 28, 2025, after driving 448 kilometers on a highway trip, I stopped for fuel and checked the tire pressures. That’s when I noticed deformations on my front-left, front-right, and rear-left tires. Throughout the trip, I didn’t encounter any bad road conditions, accidents, or external impacts that could have caused such damage.
I immediately contacted Gürlas Lastik Ankara İskitler, the dealer where I purchased the tires, and brought my car in for inspection on July 14, 2025. During the inspection, Mr. M* T***, your regional representative, examined the vehicle and the tires. He confirmed that there were no signs of collision, misuse, or tampering, and advised me to wait for the expert assessment. However, by August 4, 2025, I still had not received any response. When I revisited the branch, I was informed that no action had been taken regarding the tire replacement.
For the past ten years, I have used Hankook Kinergy Eco series tires without ever encountering such a problem. Moreover, I also use Kumho tires on my winter set and on other family vehicles. This incident has made me seriously concerned for my safety and shaken my confidence in the brand.
I am requesting that three of the four newly purchased tires—the ones that showed visible damage—be replaced free of charge under warranty to resolve this issue and restore my trust in Kumho.
