I own a 2019 Kia Sportage LX purchased in September 2019 in Monterrey, Mexico, and I am facing several quality issues that I consider unacceptable for a vehicle of this age and segment. The chrome on the interior buttons started to peel in 2024, the steering wheel logo completely faded around mid‑2025, and since November 2025, cracks have appeared on the passenger side of the dashboard. The car has had its scheduled maintenance at authorized Kia service centers and has been properly cared for. When I went to the authorized Kia dealer in Monterrey to report these problems, the only response I received was that “it’s an old car,” which I find dismissive and not in line with the brand’s image or what I expected from Kia. In my view, these defects are not normal wear but a clear quality control issue affecting the interior materials and finish of the vehicle. I request that Kia recognize this as a quality problem and replace the affected parts (cracked passenger dashboard, steering wheel logo, and peeling chrome buttons) under warranty or as a goodwill measure, without cost to me. I expect a clear, written response and a concrete solution so that I can continue to use my vehicle safely and with confidence in the brand.
