JustAnswer Recurring Charges After One-Time Question
I used JustAnswer on February 25, 2026 for what I understood to be a single, one‑time question. I was referred to JustAnswer through Mint Mobile and at no point was I clearly informed that I was signing up for a recurring subscription. Without my clear consent or awareness, JustAnswer started charging my Visa credit card $73.74 per month. I did not notice these subscription charges until August 8, 2026, when I saw that payments had been taken from February through July 2026. The total unwanted charges are roughly five times $73.74 for the period March through July 2026. As soon as I realized this, I called JustAnswer on August 8, 2026 and requested cancellation, and they cancelled the subscription immediately. However, the fact remains that I only intended to pay for a single consultation and did not knowingly agree to an ongoing membership. I request a full refund of all subscription charges taken from March through July 2026, as these monthly payments were not clearly disclosed or authorized by me as a subscription. I also ask that JustAnswer review how customers coming through partners such as Mint Mobile are informed about pricing and recurring billing, so that others are not charged in this way without their explicit understanding and consent.
