If you had an unexpected yearly charge on italki without consent and want a refund;

Check the charge details first;

• Open your bank/App Store/Google Play statement
• Note:
– Amount charged
– Date
– Merchant name
• Screenshot the transaction

Check your italki subscription status;

• Log in → Settings → Subscription / Membership
• Confirm:
– Active plan
– Renewal date
– Cancellation status
• Screenshot the subscription page

Check email (including Spam);

• Search for:
– “Subscription renewal”
– “Payment receipt”
– “Membership confirmation”
• Look for prior renewal notices

Cancel immediately (if still active);

• Turn off auto-renewal to prevent future charges

Contact italki Support;

• Explain the yearly charge was unexpected
• Provide:
– Username/email
– Charge date & amount
– Screenshots (bank + subscription page)

• Ask them to:
– Confirm why it renewed
– Refund the charge
– Provide cancellation confirmation

If support does not reply, you might want to consider posting a complaint on Xolvie in order to bring attention to the issue and try to find a solution.
