On June 14, 2024, I initiated a SWIFT transfer of £1,250 from my HSBC account in the UK to my İşbank account in Turkey. As of today (June 26, 2024), the funds have still not appeared in my Turkish account. When I contacted HSBC UK, they informed me that the payment had been sent to the receiving bank and that they could no longer track its progress.
Seeking answers, I called İşbank's customer service center. They told me that call center staff cannot view payments in the processing pool and advised me to visit a branch. When I explained that I'm currently abroad and unable to visit in person, they provided me with branch phone numbers and email addresses.
Since I have accounts with two different İşbank branches, I've made a total of 19 calls to these branches - not a single one was answered. I've attached screenshots of these attempted calls as evidence. Additionally, I sent emails but received no response.
I've made international transfers before, but I've never encountered such an absurd situation. İşbank is not only failing to assist me but is actively causing me distress and financial hardship.
This ₺37,500 (approximate value in Turkish currency) transfer is crucial, and İşbank's lack of support is deeply concerning.
