I am extremely frustrated with Instagram and urgently need help. My account had two-factor authentication enabled, but I recently changed my phone number. Now, every time I try to reset my password, Instagram sends the password reset link to my email correctly — but the verification code still goes to my old phone number, which I no longer have access to.
I have updated my phone and my number, but Instagram continues sending security codes to the wrong number, making it completely impossible for me to log into my account. I’ve been trying to fix this for months without success, and the situation is beyond frustrating at this point.
Instagram seriously needs to provide a way for users to update their two-factor authentication settings without being locked out forever.
