Hyundai Ioniq 6 Steering Rack Warranty Delay

June 29 6:47 PM

I am experiencing a serious issue with the steering system of my Hyundai Ioniq 6, which is still covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

Approximately two weeks ago, I began hearing an unusual noise coming from the steering wheel. I therefore took my vehicle to the Hunko Hyundai Authorized Service Center in İzmir for inspection. After examining the vehicle, the service technicians informed me that the steering gearbox (steering rack) was faulty.

Although my vehicle is still under warranty, I have not been provided with any clear information regarding the next steps. The service center has informed me that they are waiting for instructions or approval from Hyundai's head office, and as a result, no repair work has been started.

My vehicle has now been sitting at the authorized service center for five days, and during this time I have received no clear explanation about the repair process, the warranty procedure, or when the issue will be resolved. The lack of communication and the prolonged delay are causing significant inconvenience.

I respectfully request that the steering gearbox defect be repaired promptly and entirely under the manufacturer's warranty, without any cost to me. I also ask Hyundai to provide a clear written update regarding the status of my case, the expected repair timeline, and the reason for the delay so that I know when I can expect my vehicle to be returned.
