CapCut Free Trial Auto-Converted Into $58 Hypic Pro Charge Without Consent

May 5 3:10 PM

I used the 7-day free trial offered to me through the CapCut app on my iPhone. However, at the end of this trial period, without any clear consent or conscious purchase action on my part, the annual Hypic Pro subscription fee of $58 was automatically withdrawn from my account on 05/01/2026 at around 12:00 a.m. The Apple payment record for this transaction shows order/transaction number 776127788150. I was not given clear, understandable notice that the trial would convert into a paid annual subscription automatically. Because of this, the charge happened without my knowledge or real consent, and I feel misled and wronged. As soon as I noticed the subscription, I canceled it, ended my Hypic Pro subscription, and never actively used the service. On top of that, I also submitted an official refund request through Apple, but I haven't received any response so far. Being charged the full amount of a high annual subscription fee upfront, despite never using the service, has made this situation even more frustrating. Because this transaction happened without my knowledge or consent, I'm requesting that the $58 annual Hypic Pro subscription fee be fully refunded to me as soon as possible. Otherwise, I want to make clear that I'll be taking this matter to the relevant Consumer Arbitration Committee and other legal authorities.
