HSBC Closed My Credit Card Without Notice and Refuses to Offer a No-Fee Option

HSBC unexpectedly closed my credit card without any warning, putting me in a tough spot. In Turkey, the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) mandates that banks must provide customers with a credit card at no cost, free from any annual fees. However, HSBC is not following this rule and is creating unnecessary difficulties. It seems unreasonable to require me to maintain the equivalent of $30,000 in Turkish lira in their bank just to qualify for a credit card. I cannot agree to these terms, as they contradict the established regulations. HSBC needs to adhere to regulations and ensure that all individuals can obtain a no-fee credit card, as mandated by law.

So you don't have an answer. I will report you to the BDDK.
