Hotpoint 12,000 BTU Air Conditioner Exploded—Severe Damage and Safety Concerns
We purchased our Hotpoint 12,000 BTU air conditioner from Carrefour SA four years ago, and it had been working without any issues—until last night. Out of nowhere, it exploded with a sound similar to a gas cylinder bursting, accompanied by an intense smell. The noise and odor filled the house, leaving us terrified. The external unit of the air conditioner is visibly damaged, and the experience has caused significant emotional distress.
This incident is unacceptable. I have already filed complaints with the relevant authorities and intend to pursue legal action for compensation. I demand a prompt resolution and accountability from Hotpoint regarding this dangerous and traumatic event.
