Non-Refundable Reservation on Hotels.com for Taxim Elegance Suites
I booked a stay at Taxim Elegance Suites in Istanbul through Hotels.com for November 5-6. Six days before the stay, I realized I couldn’t make it, so I canceled my reservation. During the cancellation process, there was no warning or notification about a non-refundable policy. However, after canceling, I discovered that my payment wouldn’t be refunded due to the hotel’s policy.
This feels like an unfair setup to mislead customers. Why wasn’t this policy made clear during the cancellation? I paid for a service I didn’t use and feel deceived by the lack of transparency. I demand a refund and expect Hotels.com to ensure policies are communicated upfront to avoid such issues in the future.
The refund has been issued, thank you.
