My Reservation From Hotels.com Canceled, Coupon Went Down the Drain

I rented a otel through Hotels.com and paid for it with my credit card. A few days after the reservation, theotel owner called me and told me that he would sell the otel and that if I did not cancel the reservation myself, I would be victimized during the holiday. I communicated the situation to hotels.com. The otel owner was contacted and confirmed the situation with them. They asked me to cancel my reservation, and they also informed me that a coupon of 15% of the total payment would be defined within 5 days. They assured me this in an e-mail. They forced me to do this even though I could not find another place at the same price in the same conditions. I had to cancel, and although 10 days passed, the coupon was not defined. I wrote to customer service, still no coupon was defined and they say they will get back to you. I used hotels.com for the first time in my life and I regretted it a thousand times. I missed some opportunities from early booking just for this reason.

They gave me 1 night gift to be used in my next reservations yesterday. That's ALL. I think they want me to shut up with this. I want them to admit they lied. They told me "if you cancel your reservation, ve will give you a coupon". The fact that they didn't give it to me shows that they are lying.
