Hotels.com Listed My Kids as Infants—Now Swan. Dor Hotel Wants Extra Charge
I booked a stay at Swan. Dor Hotel Topkapı in Antalya through Hotels.com for July 12–16. While making the reservation, I clearly entered the ages of my two children—9 and 11. However, when I called the hotel to confirm the details, I was shocked to hear they had my children listed as under 1 year old. As a result, the hotel is demanding an additional €210 (around ₺7,500) at check-in.
This is outrageous. Hotels.com completely misrepresented my booking, and when I tried to contact their support, all I received were generic, unhelpful replies. They refuse to correct the information and have confirmed to the hotel that I should pay the price difference. If I hadn’t taken the initiative to call ahead, I would’ve been forced to pay this absurd extra charge at check-in without warning.
Hotels.com is negligent and irresponsible, and their system is clearly flawed. I demand that this issue be corrected immediately, that the hotel is informed of the correct ages, and that no additional charges be applied. Families shouldn’t have to suffer due to Hotels.com’s carelessness. Fix your system, and stop misleading your customers!
