Hoover Dryer Unfair Warranty Policy and Costly Repairs

I purchased the Hoover HLE H9A2TE-17 9kg Dryer from Hepsiburada. After using it once a week for about 4-5 months, the belt snapped, causing the drum to stop spinning. Since the device is under a 3-year warranty, we contacted the service center as one would normally do. However, they informed us that if we didn't purchase a surge protector for 450 TL, the device would not be covered by the warranty. If we bought the surge protector, they would include it in the warranty coverage and only charge for the cost of the protector. If we refused to pay, they mentioned a repair fee of around 1500-2000 TL just for the belt. Now, I want to address those considering the Hoover brand. You won't have the opportunity to experience this issue with another company because regardless of having a surge protector, they tie all problems back to their own product and demand payment. I never expected such treatment from Hoover. I learned this lesson through a disappointing experience. I will pursue my rights through consumer protection agencies and government channels. However, if a device that claims to have a 3-year warranty breaks within 4-5 months, with only weekly usage, and it's somehow our fault, then I say yes, I opened the device and intentionally broke the belt before contacting you. I will never purchase or recommend a Hoover product again. It's already difficult for people financially, and encountering such a situation is truly regrettable.
