Honda Unauthorized Service Charges Without Consent
I took my 2025 model Honda Dio motorcycle to the Honda Konşuk authorized service in Maltepe Cevizli only for a routine oil maintenance. During the initial conversation, when I was asked if there was any malfunction, I only stated that the motorcycle was occasionally misfiring and I did not request any additional procedures or detailed work beyond the standard maintenance. Despite this, various parts of my motorcycle were interfered with and detailed disassembly procedures were carried out without my explicit consent and approval. I was not informed in advance that these procedures, which were described as fault detection and intervention, would be charged. Only after the procedures were completed was I presented with a bill, and a total fee of ₺2,500 was demanded from me as a surprise. When I objected to this situation to the service, they only said that “everything has a cost”, and when I asked why they had carried out these procedures without informing me beforehand, they remained silent and did not provide a clear explanation. I experienced a clear grievance because no prior information was given that the fault detection and related procedures would be paid, and the procedures were carried out without my approval. I consider this situation to be contrary to consumer rights and a violation of the principle of transparency and informed consent. I request the refund of the ₺2,500 fee collected from me for the procedures carried out without my explicit approval. In addition, I request that the necessary examination be carried out regarding Honda Konşuk Maltepe Cevizli authorized service so that similar grievances are not experienced by other consumers.
