Cash App Refund For Unauthorized Hint Transaction

On April 13, 2026 at 2:48 AM, I was charged an unauthorized $29.99 on my Cash App card by “Hint America / My IQ,” with payment identifier code CQ3T5TY5M and NMLS# 942933. Before this, I had only agreed to a single $1.00 purchase that I saw through an ad, and that $1.00 payment was processed correctly without any issues or mention of further charges. At no point was I clearly informed that I was signing up for a recurring subscription or any additional fees such as $29.99. When I realized the $29.99 charge, I contacted Cash App and was told that they could not help me and that I needed to resolve the issue directly with your company. When I attempted to cancel any possible subscription with you, I was shown that I would be charged an additional $21.99 just to cancel, which I never agreed to and therefore did not proceed with. I was not able to find a customer service phone number to speak with anyone directly, so I am using this complaint to formally raise the issue. I am disabled and live on a very limited budget, and the $29.99 that was taken was my gas money, which I urgently need for my daily life and medical needs. I am requesting an immediate full refund of the unauthorized $29.99 charge and confirmation that any subscription or recurring billing linked to my details is canceled so that I will not incur any future charges from Hint America / My IQ. I expect this matter to be resolved as quickly as possible given my financial situation and the fact that I only ever consented to a one-time $1.00 purchase.
