Halalbooking Refuses Reservation Reschedule Despite Official Force Majeure Documentation
Through Halalbooking.com, I made booking number 4701306 for the Pegasos World hotel for July 20 to July 26, 2026, paying a total of $3,260 in three credit card installments. After the government officially rescheduled my wife's exam dates due to the NATO Summit, I submitted official postponement documentation and exam entrance slips; however, despite this being a clear force majeure event, Halalbooking ignored my request.
On June 3, 2026, nearly two months prior to our check-in date, I informed Halalbooking of the situation and shared all official documents. Despite this, they outright denied my date change request, stating that "the hotel did not approve." I then explicitly requested a penalty-free date change or, if that was impossible, a full refund; however, Halalbooking strictly refused both options.
Following Halalbooking's instructions, I emailed the hotel directly, attaching the official postponement decision and exam documents. However, the hotel has ignored my emails for days and failed to provide any response.
Because this exam date change stems from an official state decision and constitutes a fully documented force majeure event, I demand a resolution to my grievance. I request that Halalbooking reschedule my existing reservation to an appropriate date without penalties or extra fees, and rectify the unresponsive, unhelpful stance taken by both the platform and the hotel.
