I Face Damage While Removing Tags from H&M Underwear Due to Faulty Stitch Placement
I purchased several pieces of underwear from H&M, but I encountered a serious issue with how the tags were sewn in. The product labels were stitched directly into the same seam as the garment’s main stitching. Because of this, no matter how carefully I tried to cut the tags, I accidentally ended up cutting into the fabric itself on some of the items.
I understand that attaching tags is a legal requirement. However, there is absolutely no reason they need to be sewn into the main seam of the underwear. Many other brands sew the tags in separately, making them easy to remove without damaging the product.
H&M should reconsider its garment design and quality control on this matter. Tags should be removable without compromising the integrity of the underwear. I now have damaged items after just one attempt to wear and wash them—all because of poor stitching decisions that could easily be avoided. I’m requesting a response from H&M and a change to this flawed design approach to prevent further customer frustration and product waste.
