GoPro Hero 8 Stuck on 4K? Software Issue? Won't Turn On (Fix?)

I purchased a GoPro Hero 8 a couple of months back, but it unexpectedly stopped working after recording a few videos and never powered back on. I need to point out a particular problem: when I changed from 1080p 30 FPS to 4K 60fps mode in the settings, the device got stuck and wouldn't turn back on. There's just crickets. I think this is a software problem because I found out that many people around the world have faced the same issue when I did some research. I've got the online receipt ready.
