GCash Support Failed to Resolve My Unauthorized Starread Technology Transaction Complaint

I am writing to report an unauthorized payment made from my GCash account to Starread Technology Limited in the amount of 699 PHP. According to my GCash records, this transaction appears under reference number 952933988 and was processed on 2 November 2026, although I only noticed it today while checking my transaction history, where it is shown as a 699.00 PHP payment to Starread Technology Limited. I did not authorize this transaction and I am not aware of any purchase or subscription connected to this merchant. No one else has access to my phone or my GCash credentials, and I have never shared my PIN or any OTP with anyone. After discovering the payment, I contacted GCash support and tried to follow the instructions they provided, but the steps described did not match the options and screens on my end, so I was unable to complete their process or resolve the issue. I am clearly and firmly requesting a full refund for the 699 PHP charged to Starread Technology Limited, as I did not authorize this transaction in any way. I also request a detailed investigation into how this payment was processed without my consent. In addition, I ask that my account be thoroughly checked and secured so that similar unauthorized transactions cannot occur in the future, and that I be informed in writing of the results of your investigation and the actions taken on my account.
