Unauthorized ₱699 GCash Charge by Starread Technology Limited
On October 12, 2026, an unauthorized payment of ₱699 was taken from my GCash wallet by Starread Technology Limited. I did not authorize this transaction and I have never installed, used, or knowingly subscribed to any application, service, or product related to Starread Technology Limited. I only discovered the issue when I checked my GCash transactions and saw the ₱699 deduction to Starread Technology Limited. I did not receive any prior notice, consent request, or clear information explaining why this amount was charged. This situation has caused me concern, as it appears to be an unauthorized and unwanted transaction on my account. I kindly request that this unauthorized payment be thoroughly investigated and that any subscription or recurring payment linked to my GCash wallet and Starread Technology Limited be immediately cancelled so that no further deductions are made without my consent. I also request a full refund of the ₱699 that was deducted, to be returned to my GCash wallet as soon as possible. The GCash reference number for this transaction is 171391449. I am ready to provide the screenshot of the transaction and any additional information needed to support the investigation. I ask that this matter be reviewed fairly and resolved promptly, and I expect written confirmation once the refund has been processed and any related subscription has been cancelled.
