Garanti BBVA Failed to Provide a Receipt for My Motor Vehicle Tax Payment
On 31.07.2024, I made a motor vehicle tax payment through e-Devlet using my Garanti Bank credit card. A few days later, I noticed that my motor vehicle tax debt hadn’t been cleared from the system, so I contacted the tax office. The tax office requested a receipt to confirm that the payment was made. When I went to Garanti Bank’s customer service and the Çorlu Orion branch to get a receipt, despite seeing that the payment had been made, they told me there was no receipt and suggested that showing the statement would fix the issue, which is a ridiculous suggestion. As clearly shown in the image below, although it’s evident that I made the payment via my credit card, both the tax office and Garanti Bank are causing me trouble. It’s absurd that even a ₺5 transaction generates a receipt, but no receipt or confirmation code was provided for a ₺1450 motor vehicle tax payment.
