Garanti BBVA Failure to Delete Data After License Revocation
On February 9, 2017, I learned that the operating license of Bebek Varlık Yönetim A.Ş. was revoked by a decision of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency upon the company’s own request. However, since Garanti Bank was apparently unaware of this situation, I noticed that the related information in my account is still being kept in their system. Despite contacting both the Garanti Bank branch and headquarters for about a month, no solution has been provided regarding the removal of my information from the account. Although there has been no financial loss or fee charged, I am experiencing inconvenience due to my data being unnecessarily retained. I request that my information be completely deleted from my account.
