Dismissive Rep Caused Loss of 2.99% Loan Rate

On September 29, I went to the Garanti BBVA Diyarbakır Bağlar 3rd Industrial Branch to apply for a personal loan. As can be seen in your records, I spoke with Ms. R**** E. However, she gave the impression that she was preoccupied with something else, acted as if she wanted to get rid of me quickly, and did not show proper attention. She said, “I’ll process it from here, it will be evaluated by the main office, and I’ll call you,” brushing off the process. She also mentioned that I would receive an SMS if the result was negative, but I neither received a message nor a call. Most likely, she never processed the application. The next day, I called the bank multiple times and was told I needed to visit the branch again. I had already mentioned that I couldn’t always get permission to leave work, so when I couldn’t go that day, I visited the branch again on October 1. This time, the interest rate had increased to over 6%, raising the monthly payment from ₺16,000 to ₺25,000. Once again, the same lady displayed a very dismissive attitude, and since I didn’t have enough time, I couldn’t reach the branch manager. Moreover, she scolded me, saying, “You should have contacted the branch where you opened your account.” When I called my branch, I learned there was no such requirement. When I mentioned that my branch was in Antalya, she responded mockingly, saying, “As you wish, it’s your choice.” Additionally, my ₺250,000 loan application was not approved. This is not a valid reason because if she had properly assisted me, I could have paid off my debts and reapplied successfully. My credit score was slightly affected by existing debts, but once those were cleared, there would have been no issues — no delays, no defaults, or any other problems. Therefore, there is absolutely no valid excuse for the rejection. Due to this lack of attention, I missed the opportunity to benefit from the 2.99% interest rate. Later, I contacted my representative at the Altınova branch and also filed a complaint through customer service, but I have not received any response to date. Currently, much higher interest rates are being offered, and I am suffering financial loss because I can no longer obtain a loan under reasonable conditions. I am formally filing a complaint against the employee at the Diyarbakır 3rd Industrial Branch and request that my grievance be resolved by granting me the right to use the 2.99% interest rate. Otherwise, I would like to state that, depending on your response, I will escalate the matter to the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency and exercise my legal rights.
