Garanti BBVA Staff Rudeness Complaint
On April 30, 2024, at 3:16 PM, I took my queue number at the Garanti Bank branch in Istanbul Büyükçekmece Mimaroba. I consulted with a lady there to open a company account. She informed me that due to our annual turnover, I needed to open it at the counter. "Okay," I said and waited for my number to be called, which happened at 4:41 PM. When my turn came, the lady at the counter mentioned that it was too late, and she couldn't proceed with the transaction. Despite explaining that I had waited for so long, she insisted that the process would take more than half an hour. I shared my experience of opening company accounts at other banks, where the process didn't take more than 10 minutes, even though I had to wait for about an hour and a half. She offered to schedule an appointment instead. Ultimately, they didn't complete my transaction, and I ended up waiting for a long time for nothing. Later, I found out that transactions could be done online, and by connecting to a live representative, I opened the account in just 5 minutes. Now, who is responsible for the wasted time and lack of information provided there? If such incidents continue, I will terminate all my dealings with Garanti Bank.
