FP Markets Refuses to Refund My $6,098 Positive Account Balance

I deposited a total of approximately $7,990 of my own money into FP Markets. I want to make it explicitly clear: I am not asking for compensation for trading losses, nor am I requesting any profits. My complaint strictly concerns FP Markets' refusal to return the $6,098 positive balance remaining in my account.

On July 24, 2026, five 1-lot XAU/USD short positions were opened in my account and subsequently closed on July 27, 2026. I accept the losses incurred from these trades. However, FP Markets later offset the $6,098 positive balance from one of my accounts against the negative balance in my other account. My account statement clearly shows that on July 30, 2026, the $6,098 positive balance—derived directly from my deposited funds—was transferred between my two accounts.

FP Markets justifies this transaction by claiming a right to merge/offset accounts and citing "Abusive Trading / Negative Balance Protection Abuse." However, they have failed to provide any concrete or sufficient evidence specifying which trade or behavior constituted "Abusive Trading."

I reiterate clearly: I am not asking for lost funds back, nor am I asking for profits. I am demanding the return of the $6,098 positive balance currently sitting in my account. FP Markets also stated that they canceled the remaining $9,007.09 negative balance in my other account. Even so, I do not accept their retention of my $6,098 positive balance.

I demand that FP Markets clearly explain which specific contractual clause justifies holding my $6,098, provide concrete trade logs supporting their "Abusive Trading" allegation, and explain why my deposited positive balance has not been returned. My request is straightforward: I want my $6,098 positive balance refunded immediately, along with a documented explanation for why it was withheld. I possess all account statements, transaction logs, and correspondence with FP Markets, and I demand a re-examination of this matter to resolve my grievance.
