FlyOne Charged Me $47 for Airport Check-In After Online Check-In Failed
On August 11, 2025, I purchased a ticket from FlyOne for flight 5F5327 (Ticket No: 1234014648820). Before my flight, I attempted to complete the online check-in process through the airline’s system, but the system would not allow me to check in successfully.
When I arrived at the airport, FlyOne personnel informed me that I would need to pay 713 LEU (approximately €37) in order to complete the check-in process. I was also told that after making the payment, I could visit the FlyOne office and request a refund for the amount charged.
Relying on this information, I paid the required fee and completed my check-in. However, when I later visited the FlyOne office as instructed, I was informed that the payment could no longer be refunded. As a result, I was both financially disadvantaged and misled by the information provided by FlyOne staff.
The original ticket price was approximately $88, yet I was forced to pay an additional $44 for check-in. This extra charge represented a substantial portion of the total cost of my trip and would not have been necessary if the online check-in system had functioned properly.
This is the first time I have encountered such a situation while traveling. I respectfully request that FlyOne refund the 713 LEU (€37) check-in fee that was unfairly charged and provide a written explanation regarding why I was given inaccurate information about the refund process.
I expect a prompt review of my case and a fair resolution to the inconvenience and financial loss I experienced.
