Defective Fissler Vitavit Premium And Service Refusing Replacement
I purchased the Fissler Vitavit Premium pressure cooker in Turkey, and the pressure mechanism did not work from the moment I received it. I first tested it with water, as instructed in the manual, but it continued to release air instead. I first contacted Fissler customer service via email, but when I was unable to reach them, I contacted the Enplus store via video and letter to request a return. I was instructed to send the item to an authorized service center. A person claiming to be from the service center called and told me that because the product was "used," the valve system had "burned out," and that "Germany does not accept physical damage," they could only provide a paid replacement. This was frustrating because the product was defective from the start, never used for cooking, and tested only with water as directed. They blamed me for the damage and user error, demanded that I pay for repairs, which I refused, and then returned the still defective product to me. Despite paying a premium for Fissler's reliability, I now deeply regret my purchase. If I had known that the authorized service could demand payment for repairing a product that never worked, I would not have chosen this brand. Now I'm left with a broken product that I haven't used once. Hopefully, my experience can serve as a resource for others looking into this product.
Dear Ms. Begüm K, As a result of the inspections conducted on your product, which was brought to our service on 13/06/2024, it has been determined that your pot and valve group are burnt. Unfortunately, physical damages that are not caused by the product itself are not covered by Fissler products, as is the case with all models. Pictures related to your product are provided below, and detailed images are also recorded in our service system.
