FedEx International Shipment Delayed for Three Months
On July 13, 2026, I sent a package through FedEx and PTT to Casablanca, Morocco. The shipment contained plastic and hand-tool parts with a total value of approximately $200. The tracking number is 873078622624. Even after two to three months, the recipient did not receive any SMS or email, and I was not provided with any information about the shipment either.
I was later contacted by PTT and told that the shipment could not be delivered, and I was asked to choose whether it should be destroyed or returned to me. The recipient told me that their area is classified as a remote location and that when they personally went to a FedEx branch to ask about the shipment, they were told, “We contacted you and notified you.” Despite the fact that neither the recipient nor I was actually contacted, claiming that we had been reached is completely unacceptable.
I was also told that the recipient was asked to pay $220 in customs charges in order to receive the shipment, even though the value of the products was only $200. In other words, the customs charge was reportedly higher than the value of the goods themselves. When I requested that the shipment be returned to me instead, I was then asked to pay an extremely high return fee of approximately $150. As a result, the shipment is not being delivered, sufficient information is not being provided, and customers are being subjected to excessive additional charges, causing significant inconvenience and financial loss.
I request a clear explanation of why my shipment was not delivered on time, why neither I nor the recipient was properly notified, and on what legal basis amounts such as the $220 customs charge and $150 return fee were being requested. I also request that the inconvenience I have experienced be remedied, that all unjustified and excessive charges be canceled, and, if necessary, that the $65 shipping fee I paid be refunded to me.
