I Face Unauthorized $49.99 Charge From Famradar on My Card
I live in Mauritius, and on April 12, 2026, I was charged $49.99 on my MCB card ending in 8345 for a Famradar location tracking service, even though I have never downloaded this application on my Android phone and have never used this service. My card statement shows the transaction as “FAMRADAR FORT LAUDE,” along with a note stating that a $49.99 transaction was approved on my card on that date.
I did not knowingly give consent for this payment, and I have never installed or used Famradar on my device. Therefore, I do not understand why this charge was made. Although this charge has only appeared once so far, I consider it completely unauthorized since I never requested or approved any service from Famradar.
I have not yet contacted MCB or Famradar customer support, as I first want to formally state that I dispute this transaction and do not accept any responsibility for it. I request that this unauthorized $49.99 charge be urgently investigated and immediately refunded to my card. I also request that any subscription, recurring billing, or saved payment method linked to my card or personal information through Famradar be fully canceled to prevent any future charges.
I kindly ask for written confirmation once the refund has been processed and any subscription or recurring payment has been completely canceled.
