Fakir Sold Me a Defective Spot Cleaner and Still Has Not Replaced It
I bought the Fakir Spot Cleaner PR 8038 Steam & Stain Remover as a Mother’s Day gift for my wife. When we opened the box, we noticed several defects, so the next day I took it back—box included—to the MediaMarkt Korupark branch. They said they couldn’t offer a direct replacement because the box had been opened and that they would send it to Fakir’s authorized service center. We asked how we were supposed to detect any issues without opening the box, but didn’t receive a clear answer. Still, we agreed to have it sent in. Ten days passed without any updates, so we contacted the service center ourselves and were told a part would be replaced and they were waiting for it. I refused to accept a repair for a product I bought as new and demanded a replacement. It’s been nearly a month now, and every time I call, they still say they’re waiting for approval for the replacement. I returned a brand-new product the day after opening it, and it’s been almost a month without getting it back. If this continues, I will file a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee.
This is truly a brand that cannot even come close to professionalism. They make you wait for a month to exchange a defective product they manufactured. I can only get results after filing a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee. Even then, they say a refund is accepted, not an exchange. When I called the customer representative, they told me that I could go to the store with the return form in the link sent in the message I received and complete the process. I take time off work and go to the store. The staff at the store say that the product has not arrived at the store and that they can only process it after the product reaches them. Neither the brand is a real brand nor the representative is a real representative. I will definitely never let even the smallest Fakir home appliance into my home again.
