Facebook Ad Led to Shortmax Subscription That Keeps Charging Me
I subscribed to Shortmax Innovation / Short TV via a Facebook ad by downloading the app and creating an account linked to my Facebook profile and the email address woemmelber***@gmail.com. I later cancelled my subscription on January 15, but despite this cancellation, my credit card has continued to be charged. Since January 15, I have been charged 6 times for $19.99 each, even though I am no longer using the service and had already cancelled. I did not subscribe through the Apple App Store, and the payments were taken directly from my credit card after accessing the service through Facebook. I have contacted Short TV via email multiple times, and each time I initially received what appears to be a generic blanket response. When I then provide my account information and proof of these unauthorized charges, I do not receive any further reply or solution from the company. I request a full refund of all 6 unauthorized $19.99 payments, the immediate cancellation of any active or hidden subscription linked to my email address and Facebook account, and written confirmation that no further charges will be made to my card. I also expect a clear and direct response to my emails explaining how this issue occurred and how it will be prevented in the future.
