Expertchat AI Unauthorized Monthly Charge And Full Refund Demand

I am filing this complaint against ExpertChat AI (ai.expertchat.me) regarding an unauthorized monthly charge. I originally purchased a 1-Day Trial via my Google account (benandroid***@gmail.com). On Jan 14, 2026, this was auto-converted into a Monthly Subscription without my explicit consent or clear notification. I did not intend to subscribe to a monthly plan and consider this charge unauthorized. I contacted support immediately after the transaction. The service remains 100% unused as it does not meet my professional academic requirements. Despite this, support (Mary Morgan - Ticket #480595) initially refused any refund, citing vague 'eligibility criteria.' After I protested, they offered a 50% partial refund as a 'special exception.' I rejected this offer because a partial refund for a service that was neither authorized nor used is unacceptable. While support has confirmed the cancellation of future billing, they still refuse to refund the current unauthorized charge. I have consulted my bank; the transaction is currently in the 'provision' (pending) stage. My bank has confirmed that I am eligible to initiate a formal chargeback for an unauthorized transaction as soon as it reflects on my statement. My final expectation is a full (100%) refund and written confirmation. I do not accept a 50% offer for an unused service resulting from non-transparent auto-renewal practices. If a full refund is not issued immediately, I will proceed with a formal chargeback through my bank and report this practice to the relevant consumer protection authorities. I expect ExpertChat AI to rectify this error immediately.
