On June 15, 2025, I purchased a 3-day subscription from Expertchat AI and paid 0.99 USD. Because I had lost my old card, I saved my new card to my phone for convenience—yet a payment was made without my permission. When I checked my account statement today, I saw that on June 18, 2025, another 29.99 USD had been withdrawn from my card with no approval, no password verification, and no reminder email. I sent an email stating that I would file a complaint. I’m waiting for a response, but based on other complaints, it seems unlikely that I will receive one. I am a student and only wanted to try the service, and now I have no idea how to make up for this lost money. When I tried to make a payment today, I suddenly received a “insufficient balance” warning, and I couldn’t believe it.
I am filing this complaint against Expertchat AI because they do not properly inform their customers, they do not send any reminder email on the final day of the trial, and the “renews every month unless canceled” notice was not shown during signup. They gave no information that the subscription needed to be canceled, and although they claim to have no refund policy, they handle refunds selectively based on the attitude of the customer. In other words, if a customer is calm or polite, they would never issue a refund and would simply ignore the case.
Additionally, they sell the 3-day subscription with a word-limit restriction, but they do not disclose this at the time of purchase.
