I Face Major Design and Performance Issues with My Dyson V15s Detect Submarine Vacuum

I purchased the Dyson V15s Detect Submarine vacuum on June 5, 2025—barely two months ago. I chose it based on Dyson’s reputation for quality and paid a premium for their latest model, but the experience has been nothing short of disappointing.
Every component of this vacuum feels poorly designed. You have to manually pick up larger debris before vacuuming because the motorized head clogs easily. If glass breaks, you must remove all the shards by hand first—otherwise the head jams and makes cleanup harder. It’s frustrating that a vacuum of this price can’t handle basic tasks.
The mopping attachment is even worse. The dirty water tank is so small that it starts leaking after cleaning just one room. The mop roller leaves the floor wet and doesn’t remove stains as advertised. Attaching the mop head is a nightmare—I’ve spent 20 minutes trying to attach it and still haven’t succeeded. It’s exhausting. Honestly, it would be easier to just use a bucket and mop.
The materials feel cheap for such an expensive device. The plastic parts are stiff and brittle. I lightly tapped the main body to clean it, and the filter bent. The silicone seals on the body are already coming loose, and suction has noticeably decreased. I also don’t understand why dust keeps backing up into the motor.
I’m extremely disappointed and already regret this purchase just two months in. Dyson, if you truly stand behind your products, please accept my return and issue a full refund. This product does not meet the quality or functionality expectations set by your brand.
