Chronic Dyson V12 Vacuum Filter Malfunction


After buying my Dyson V12, I regularly cleaned the filter as recommended. However, within the first year, the vacuum began displaying filter errors. When I contacted support, they suggested a cyclone cleaning. My spouse used an air blower to clean it, which helped temporarily, but the issue quickly returned. I reached out again via WhatsApp support in February 2024, only to be told they couldn't assist due to technical issues. I never received a follow-up call. By April, my warranty expired, and I barely used the vacuum, opting instead for a robot vacuum because the Dyson constantly needed cleaning more than it did any actual cleaning.
Now, on a video call, they claim the filter needs replacement – at my expense. During the warranty, I was never advised of a filter replacement, only basic cleaning. When I mentioned the lack of response during the warranty, I was told it was my responsibility to reach them. Dyson brushed off my concerns while under warranty, only to push for a paid replacement after it expired. This product is more trouble than it's worth, with inadequate customer support and constant maintenance demands.
