Dyson Customer Service Cancelled My Vacuum Order

We decided to buy a Dyson vacuum cleaner and placed our order over the phone, paying for it. As a precaution, we dialed the same phone number again. We were told that the payment had been canceled due to an error on the part of the employee who canceled the order. We asked for an explanation and were told that the person in charge would contact us and provide information. We waited for days without hearing from anyone. When we called again, we were told that the responsible person would not call and that the money would be refunded. We learned after a long wait, without receiving a call, that we would have to wait a long time for the refund due to the installment payment by credit card. Despite the situation, the phone representative suggested that we make the purchase again. As a result, we decided to place the order via the website. When the device arrived, we discovered that the box had been opened and taped shut, and there was dust inside. We relayed this information to the call center, requesting an exchange and outlining the issues. We were told that we had to return the item. Despite my repeated requests for an exchange rather than a refund, we were told that the matter would be forwarded to the responsible party and that they would contact me. However, no call was received. We recognize Dyson as a global corporate brand, and we find this situation unacceptable. The lack of a proposed solution, as well as the suggestion to make the purchase again, is extremely unsettling.
