Domestika Ad Promised $1 Courses but Charged Me $110 Instead
I saw Domestika ads on social media promoting courses for $1 USD. Because of the countdown in the ads, I felt rushed and quickly added multiple courses to my cart. All the courses in my cart were shown as $1 USD. I also want to note that these $1 USD ads were still being shown and the countdown discount on the site kept ending and restarting, which pressured and misled users to act quickly. Despite this, after payment I noticed that on November $110.51 was charged to my Ziraat Bank virtual card. This clearly represents misleading price display.
The purchase included 10 courses and a Domestika Plus membership. However, I did not open or use any of the courses, and I did not actively use the Plus membership.
Less than 24 hours after the payment, while I still had my 14-day refund right, I submitted a detailed refund request in English through Domestika’s support form. I provided my order number (C507812T33238149)**, clearly explained that the promotion was shown as $1 USD and that I was misled, and noted that I had not used any product. I also stated that I would even accept cancellation of only the courses that were not actually $1 USD if necessary.
Despite this, all I’ve received from Domestika over several days are automatic, unrelated responses. I have not been able to reach a real representative, my refund request has not been reviewed, and my complaint is being completely ignored.
The misleading advertising, non-transparent checkout pricing, and lack of real support response have clearly resulted in consumer harm. For this reason, I am requesting a full refund to my card. I also expect a written response from a responsible representative who has reviewed the issue, not just automated replies.
