Spotify Artist Profile Issue After Name Change via DistroKid
I uploaded my songs through DistroKid and later decided to change my artist name. The name update went through successfully, but when I checked my songs on Spotify, I noticed a major issue. Instead of updating the existing artist profile, Spotify created a new one under my new name.
Now, when I try to edit the new artist profile, I’m redirected back to my old artist profile, making it impossible to manage the new one. This is extremely frustrating as it affects my ability to organize and promote my music properly.
I need DistroKid and Spotify to fix this issue promptly and merge my profiles under the correct name. Artists deserve seamless support for name changes and profile management.
