DistroKid Ignored My Copyright Claim While My Song Was Illegally Uploaded By Another User

My musical work titled “Gitmez Miydim Gidebilsem?”, which belongs entirely to me and is registered under my band name (Yeşiller Music Band), has been distributed to all digital platforms (Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, Amazon Music, etc.) without my permission or knowledge by a third party through DistroKid. As the sole lyricist, composer, arranger, and copyright owner of the song, I discovered this situation three days ago and immediately filed two official complaints with DistroKid ([email protected]
), as well as with other digital platforms. DistroKid only sent an automatic confirmation email stating that my claim was received, but no representative has contacted me since. Spotify removed the song following my complaint. I also submitted a DMCA complaint to YouTube.com.com, but since the upload was made through DistroKid, YouTube.com.com has not taken sufficient action.

Because my song was illegally uploaded, I am experiencing both loss of views and revenue, and I am unable to upload my song through another distributor. Although I have a Landr Pro Distributor membership, my track has been under review for 1.5 weeks due to copyright conflicts and cannot be published. The person who stole my work uploaded this song, as well as one of my cover songs and other works belonging to me, to more than 150 platforms through DistroKid on November 9, 2025, under the name “beatwave Music.” On YouTube.com.com, the person simply changed the cover art and published it under their own name. I submitted all evidence with my claims, including my original files, project files, production dates, and screenshots.

This individual is unlawfully profiting from my works, causing both financial and emotional damage. I request that DistroKid urgently provide this person’s identity information for legal proceedings, remove all unauthorized uploads of my songs and my cover track from every platform, freeze all earnings generated from my works, transfer all revenue gained by the infringing party to me, and take action against the account responsible for the unauthorized uploads.

Otherwise, I will begin legal proceedings in both Türkiye and the United States with my attorney. I expect an urgent and detailed response.
