CVS Pharmacy Charged Me for ExtraCare Plus Without a Renewal Reminder

37

About a year ago, I registered for an ExtraCare+ account with CVS Pharmacy completely aware that it was an annual subscription set to auto-renew—but only after I got an advance email warning before being charged. That particular condition calmed my mind. Though I meant to cancel before the renewal date, I forgot when that would be. Still, I wasn't particularly worried since CVS promised to send me a reminder email before credit card charge. That reminds never never came. My only knowledge of the membership renewal came from the fee shown on my bank account. I was a little deceived and surprised. Trusting a system that falls short on its end irritates one. Since then, I have called CVS expecting they will correct this.

"I was about to cut ties with Pronet after 10 years. I had specifically left a note not to be called for persuasion, but Ms. Büşra from After Sales Services called and frankly, she softened my stance on the matter. Actually, the devices are mine, and I think the fee is still too much just for a call center service, but I decided to continue for another year. I couldn't say no to Ms. Büşra, I'm considering terminating it next year."
