Columbia Omni-Tech Rain Jacket Leaks Water Despite Waterproof Claim

On October 20, 2024, I purchased a Columbia rain jacket with Omni-Tech technology from the Gebze Netpa store. Although the product was specifically marketed as waterproof, it allows water to seep through—especially around the shoulder area—during use. This clearly shows that the product does not fulfill its primary promise.
I applied to the seller for a refund or exchange, but my request was denied with the explanation of “user error,” without any concrete or satisfactory technical justification. However, a rain jacket advertised as waterproof should not leak under normal rain conditions, and this cannot reasonably be attributed to user error. This clearly indicates that the product is defective.
I paid approximately $163 for this product (receipt numbers 7226 and 0134). I request that the item be evaluated as defective, accepted for return, and that the full amount I paid be refunded to me.
