Colgate Sensitive Toothpaste Contains SLS, Causes Mouth Sores

For about three weeks, I have been using Colgate Sensitive Instant Relief toothpaste. I chose this product specifically for tooth sensitivity. However, after I started using it, I developed sores inside my mouth, and my symptoms noticeably worsened with each brushing.

When I became suspicious, I carefully read the ingredients listed on the tube and was shocked and disappointed to see that sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS)—which is often stated online as not being included in this product—was actually listed as an ingredient. I cannot accept that a substance known to cause irritation and mouth sores in many people would be included in a toothpaste marketed specifically for sensitive teeth.

I am requesting that Colgate explain why this ingredient is used in a product sold for sensitivity relief and provide clear, transparent information to consumers. I also ask that the product’s ingredients be reviewed to prevent similar issues for others and that my case be formally investigated.
