For a long time, whenever I use Colgate Advanced Whitening and Colgate Max Whitening toothpastes, I develop canker sore–like mouth ulcers. Even if I use the toothpaste just once, it causes significant sores and irritation inside my mouth. The products still have about a year left before their expiration dates, so they are not expired.
To determine whether this could be caused by something else, I went to the dentist and had root canal treatment for cavities. I also visited an internal medicine doctor to have my immune system checked. Based on the exams and tests, it was determined that the sores I’m experiencing are not related to tooth decay or my immune system. Despite that, every time I use these two toothpastes, I get recurring canker sores and mouth wounds again.
I want the ingredients of a toothpaste that can cause this level of irritation and sores so quickly to be urgently and thoroughly investigated. If necessary, the formula should be changed. If it poses a risk to human health, it should be removed from the market, and a clear public statement should be issued about this issue.
